The Economy is a bad, but good things can come out of it

Well the economy is really bad right now. Places our going out of business and some are trying to stay a float by asking the government for aid. The last business that I heard was going out of business was Circiut City.

Circuit City is closing all of their stores in the U.S.. They started their going out of business on saturday. For those of you that don't know Jeff and I are working on finishing our basement. We wanted to have a LCD TV downstairs and a nice surraound sound system in our basement as well. We went to the sale on saturday thinking that we might be able to get a good deal. We knew that if we didn't go on saturday we would not be able to get good items (The good ones always sale first)

We spent two hours in the circuit city in Jordan Landing, mostly waiting for the one person that was working the floor to see us as important. We were able to get a 40' Sony TV for $899 and we also were able to find a 7.1 channel surround sound system for $550. We also picked up a wireless drumset for Rock Band 2, becasue it was $9 off, and the price was not going to go down any time soon.

So even though it is sad that another business is closing their doors forever, Jeff and I found that we were able to get some stuff for a good deal. We are now one step closer to have our family room downstairs completed

Christmas Vacation

People will probably think that this is weird, but we have an early christmas. That is mostly because when we go to have christmas with my family my aunts have a christmas eve party and we like to attend that and we also like to have our own family christmas. So this year we had christmas on the 23rd. It was fun for the kids, Dallin is old enough now that we had to come up with an excuse of why we were opening our presents early and what we came up with is that we were opening the presents that we were getting each other early. and they Santa would bring presents at Grandma's. He seemed pretty satisfied with that so that is the story that we stuck with.

Dallin had a lot of fun up in Logan because on Christmas day they got around a foot of snow. the next day. Dallin would have loved to spend the whole day outside sleding in my parent's yard, but we limited it to only going out three times the day after christmas. Isaac had fun playing with the new toys as usual. Jeff and I both got Nintendo DS' and we spent a lot of our time playing those. We both got a nintendogs because it is the only way that I can be completely happy with a dog in my home

Christmas was great we say a lot of family and even though we love seeing them. I am glad that I am home now. I hope that anyone reading this also had a wonderful holiday season.

Christmas Lights at Temple Square

Every year we have a tradition of going and seeing the lights at temple square. We usually go early in the month, but this year it took us a lot longer to get there. We went and parked the care and then rode Trax into downtown. The kids thought that that was fun because both of them love trains. The lights were beautiful like they always are. I think Dallin and Isaac just like to go there are run around. We went and saw the Christus in the north Visitor Center and when we asked Isaac who was that. he said."Wow, that is big." Which we found very funny. He did know who is was, but I thought it was funny that he first commented on the fact that it was big. Below are some of the pictures that I took from that night.

Cancelling of a few TV shows

I heard today,(I know I am a little slow) and a couple of my shows have gotten the axe. Those are Pushing Daises and Lipstick Jungle. I have watched Pushing Daises since it started and have loved the Ned and Chuck and how they try to have a relationship where no touching is involved, except when something is between them, which usually is plastic.

For those of you that don't know Ned has the ability to bring things back to life and they have passes. He found this out when he was a kid and his mother died and he touched her and she came back to life. He also found out that if they touch him again after that, they die again and he can't bring them back. Another consequence to bringing someone back to life is that after 1 minute if he doesn't touch them againg someone in the area will die in that person's place. He goes around with his only friend on earth Emmett and solves murders, because he touches the person who died and asks if they know who killed them or how they died. They they both go and solve the crime, which there usually is one. The show is different from others out there and I loved watching it and wondering if Ned and Chuck will ever accidently touch and she dies again.

Anyway, Lipstick Jungle I would watch but I wasn't as big of fan as I was with Pushing Daises, but it had a good plot. Three women in different points in their life trying to make it work in New York City. I will miss this show as well.

Eragon book Series.

Well about a week ago I finally finished the third book in the Eragon series and I thought that I would write about it. The Series was good and I enjoyed reading them. For those who haven't read it. It is about a teenage boy who finds a dragon egg in the forest. He then goes around his world and learns more about being a dragon rider and how he will try to bring down the emperor, who happens to also be a dragon rider. I do have to be honest and say that there were times in all three of the books that I was bored and wished that the story would move along, but all in all it was a good book. For those who don't like romance, you would be happy to know that there is only a few cases of relationships, but Christoperh Paolini doen'st go into a lot of detail about them.
